Affiliate disclosure
We Love Malaysia is a free, independent travel guide. To pay for research, writing and regular updates, we use affiliate links. This affiliate disclosure explains what that means for you.
How affiliate links work
Some links on this site go to booking companies, such as hotel booking sites, tour platforms, transfer services, travel insurance providers or eSIM sellers. If you click one of these links and make a booking or purchase, that company may pay us a small commission.
Not every link earns us money. Many links on our pages go to official websites, tourism boards or transport operators, and we include them simply because they are the most useful source for you.
No extra cost to you
Booking through an affiliate link does not cost you anything extra. You pay the same price as you would by going to the company directly, and the commission comes out of the company’s own margin. You are always free to book elsewhere.
How links are marked
Pages that contain affiliate links carry a short note saying so. Affiliate links are usually attached to buttons or text that clearly lead to a booking, such as “check prices” or “book a tour”. In line with search engine guidelines, these links are also marked in the page code as sponsored.
Editorial independence
Affiliate relationships never decide what we recommend. We choose places, areas and activities first, based on our research, and only then look for a useful booking option. If a place is worth visiting but has no affiliate programme, we still recommend it, and if a partner’s product is not a good fit, we do not include it.
No company pays to be featured, and no partner can review or change our content. You can read more about our standards in our editorial policy, and if you have any questions about this disclosure, please contact us.
